Many of you guys are looking for a way to “hard” delete a customer. This is when you permanently delete a record out of the system. In general, this is bad practice. It leaves behind orphaned data and you lose an audit trail of data. In some cases, having the audit trail can save you from legal headaches.
MHelpdesk does what’s called a “soft” delete. In other words, you set the customer to “inactive” and for the most part it is treated as deleted. You won’t see them in drop-downs, you won’t see them in reports, etc. etc. By doing this, we are able to preserve the state of your data.
