You can learn more about our work environment and product here: http://facebook.com/mhelpdesk mHelpDesk is seeking an event marketing guru to join our growing team in the vibrant Mosaic District. The Manager of Event Marketing will be responsible for the strategy and execution of tradeshows, conferences and speaking engagements, planning and managing events as part of integrated campaigns, and driving related brand-building and lead-generation activities to build the pipeline for the sales organization. They will also be responsible for providing ongoing in-person education about mHelpDesk to channel sales partners. This position engages in the management of all event and offline marketing logistics and budget while driving interrelated activities and leading cross-functional teams to maximize impact. RESPONSIBILITIES: – Provides analysis of markets and selection of strategic tradeshows and conferences in support of marketing and sales objectives. – Develops an event plan spanning multiple geographies and vertical industries; establishes event budgets to evaluate results against goals. – Develops event related training materials; organizes all show materials, contracts, and budgets. – Submits speaker proposals to relevant tradeshows and conferences to increase brand exposure. – Brings together cross-functional teams to deliver all event-related tasks under tight deadlines, including event offers and promotions, email campaigns and landing pages, sales outreach, giveaways, and content development. – Directs all pre-event operations including event staffing/training, customer and prospect outreach, agendas, on-site needs, and sales preparation. – Works closely with internal teams to provide direction and oversight of the development of the supporting communication materials including blogs, email blasts, website updates, promotional materials, etc. Develops and maintains strategic communications plans. – Manages all event production and planning coordination including, but not limited to site registration, customer special requests and on-site management of event space and staff. – Supervises the hand-off of leads to sales, ensuring hot leads are called out and the sales team is armed with the information they need to follow up quickly and effectively. – Provides any follow up to events such as analysis of future improvements. – Makes bi-annual on-site visits to provide ongoing education about mHelpDesk to channel sales partners. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: – Work collaboratively with VP of Marketing and CEO to create and update the overall event strategy. – Collaborate with design and content team as well as external vendors to create booth materials, signage, print ads, digital ads, e-newsletters, and other marketing elements. – Develop key relationships with both internal teams and external organizations to benefit future events. – Track event and offline marketing budget including monitoring, projecting, allocation and reconciliation of department funds. – Order and maintain company equipment/materials used for off-site event shows (damage, theft, etc.). – Ad hoc team projects as needed. REQUIREMENTS: – Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business). – 5 years’ experience in marketing/communications and meeting planning or an equivalent. – Experience with planning and working tradeshow booths. – Exceptional planning, project management and coordination skills. – Critical thinking and problem solving skills. – Solid presentation and reporting skills. – Facilitation, conflict resolution and team building skills. – Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. – Well versed with computer programs and popular mobile devices. PHYSICAL DEMAND: – Ability to travel up to 50% including frequent trips of 3 days to 1 week in duration, and some weekends as required. – Able up to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
