You can learn more about our work environment and product here: DBA Responsibilities: Designing and executing Microsoft SQL Server deployments. Reviewing existing Microsoft SQL Server deployments for potential improvements in availability and resiliency. Actively monitoring existing Microsoft SQL Server databases to identify SQL consuming large amounts of resource and give development teams guidance and oversight in remediating issues Actively participating with development teams to tune poor performing SQL Providing support for system troubleshooting of developed/installed/tested applications Providing Production Operations Support, which includes assisting in 24×7 support with rotating on-call schedule Having strong experience in holistic DBMS/Windows performance monitoring, measurement, reporting and tuning Having expertise with SQL, particularly as it relates to tuning Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving and communication skills System Administrator Responsibilities: Relentless pursuit of uptime and stability, as well as growth, management, and support for our production network, server, and storage infrastructure. Maintaining technical infrastructure hardware, operating platform and application upgrades. Assisting technical and business teams in design, implementation, and maintenance of their projects. Maintaining documentation and testing our redundancy and disaster recovery procedures. Analyzing and monitoring our infrastructure to discover opportunities to improve reliability, resiliency or performance. Recommending and implementing additions or changes to our infrastructure to improve reliability, resiliency or performance. Required Experience: At least 2 years professional experience as an Microsoft SQL Server DBA The ability to spin-up an Microsoft SQL Server instance from scratch Demonstrable experience patching production Microsoft SQL Server database system Demonstrable experience performing as the lead on upgrading a production Microsoft SQL Server system from one major revision to another Strong experience in holistic DBMS/Windows performance monitoring, measurement, reporting and tuning Expertise with SQL, particularly as it relates to tuning Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving and communication skills Love our team mascot Stu who frequents the office!
